Problems of sustainable development of rural areas of the northern region

The maintenance of sustainable development of rural areas is specified. Factors are revealed, the system of indicators of sustainable rural and agrarian development is proposed. Actual problems of development of rural territories of the northern region are investigated. The role of agrarian sector in sustainable development of rural areas is shown. The analysis of stability factors of agriculture of the Komi Republic is given. For providing sustainable development of agrarian sector the package of measures, including updating of the agricultural legislation, production modernization on the basis of application of the latest technologies, strengthening of the state support of agricultural producers, formation of multipurpose economy in the village is proposed.
