Development of production, growth of turnover, tax revenues, new jobs - in these and other areas representatives of small business are present and play a significant role. The head of state has set the task to bring their contribution to the country's GDP to 40 percent by the middle of the next decade, and the number of people employed in small business should grow to 25 million people. One of the ways to stimulate the development of this category of economic entities is to expand access to the procurement of goods, works and services. The article examines the main problems that currently exist in the field of state procurement regulation in relation to small businesses, provides relevant statistics characterizing the modern public procurement bidding market.
