Problems of Sino-Russian energy cooperation

The energy issue is at the center of attention of modern international politics and illustrates the main direction of economic cooperation between China and Russia. The importance of active cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector is obvious. However, in recent decades, despite the constant efforts of the Celestial Empire and the Russian Federation to strengthen and intensify bilateral contacts, the cooperation of the two powers in the field of energy is not without difficulties, hindering the stable development of infrastructure, increasing the volume of energy supplies and restraining the growth rates of energy communication of the states. This article is devoted to the consideration of international limitations of Sino-Russian cooperation in the field of energy, the analysis of existing problems and the study of strategies for more effective use of existing agreements in order to develop further cooperation in the field of energy between China and Russia. It is shown that both states are interested in strengthening energy ties, and therefore, optimal solutions are currently being sought to overcome tension situations and achieve mutual understanding between Russia and China in the energy sector.
