Problems in the sphere of housing and municipal services and ways to solve them

Each economic entity is connected with the housing and utilities sector. The article analyzes the services provided in the housing and utilities sector based on Rosstat data. The annual growth in the area of residential premises increases the load on the utilities infrastructure. Water supply facilities, as well as sewer and heating networks, are deteriorating and require replacement. Utility accidents have a negative impact on the quality of life of the population. The situation is especially difficult in the Ural and Siberian Federal Districts. A study of publications on the state of the housing and utilities sector in the Russian Federation confirmed the authors’ conclusions about the need to develop the housing and utilities sector in the Russian Federation. Thanks to the «Strategy for the Development of the Construction Industry and Housing and Utilities», the «Concept for Training Personnel for the Construction Industry and Housing and Utilities», as well as the financing provided by the Infrastructure for Life NP, the situation in the housing and utilities sector can be significantly improved.
