Problems of higher library education (from the experience of TSU named after G. R. Derzhavin)

The article is devoted to the problems of higher library education at the present stage. The experience of the department of library and information resources in the preparation of bachelors and masters of library and information activities is considered. The organization of vocational training and advanced training courses for librarians is described.
