The article is devoted to the problems of legal regulation of local self-governance in Mongolia. The author describes subjects of aimak, capitals, somons, district Hurals. The problems, concerning the laws of local self-governance and the definition of exact boundaries of governance have been considered, as well as the problems of uncertainty in the commitments of local authorities and uncertainty in the distribution of obligations of local self-governance.
