Strategic goal setting process of so­cio-economic development of the re­gion

This article analyzes the quality of strategic goal setting socio­economic development. Reviewed existing scientific literature on approaches to developing the region''s development goals, princi­ples, program management and spatial planning. The analysis of strategic goal setting in the development of the programme of so­cio-economic development of the Republic of Buryatia, identi­fied shortcomings and suggestions to improve the quality of the goal-setting programmes of socio-economic development of the region.
