Food security of the russian federation

The article discusses the concept of «food security». Based on the data of official statistics, an analysis of the state offood security is carried out. Indicators such as real disposable incomes of the population, the share of food expenditures in the structure of consumer spending, the level of self-sufficiency of agricultural products, etc. are considered. Current problems and threats to ensuring food security and food independence, as well as possible directions for their solution are indicated.
