Food security in ensuring national independence of the country

The article considers the concept of the term “food security”, the state of food security, taking into account the physiological needs of various population groups, considers target indicators (criteria) of food security, and identifies problems. In general, the need for improving food security is shown, and its most typical threats are identified. The Government of the Russian Federation has developed a number of measures for import substitution financed from the federal budget, including the Doctrine of Food Security of the Russian Federation, on the basis of which the main indicators of food security of the country are determined.
