Productivity and feeding value of grain sorghum varieties for the northern zone of sowing sorgo

The article presents the results of the evaluation of the productivity and feed value are approved for use on Russian Federation varieties of the grain sorghum breeding FGBNU “Povolzhsky NIISS” for the Northern zone of sorgo sowing. The studies were conducted in the fields of FGBNU “Povolzhsky NIISS” in the laboratory of breeding and seed production of cereals and sorghum crops in the years 2013-2016. In the study were varieties of breeding FGBNU “Povolzhsky NIISS” Premiere, Slavyanka, Ros', Kinelskoe 63. Studies have shown that the studied varieties of the grain sorghum in the years of research have formed the grain yield at the level of 3.36-4.19 MT/ha. the Highest yield was observed in cultivars Kinelskoe 63 - 4.19 MT/ha and Ros' - 4,09 t/ha. In the studied varieties the breeding index was determined, the best for this indicator was the grade Ros' with the index Cu - 2,1. According to the content of crude protein in grain 2 varieties of Slavyanka - 11,56% and Ros' - 10,42% were allocated.
