The data of field and laboratory experiments on the study of seeded agrophytocenoses of various uses on chestnut solonetsous soil are presented. Indicators of the ecological conditions of growth and development of grass stands were determined. In steppe herbage, natural steppe species appeared at 5-7 years of life, after 10-12 years they prevailed. Various grass mixtures have been selected to increase the collection of high-grade feeds and extend their use to 12 years. The grass stand, full of productivity and durability, is formed under the condition of good tillage and early spring sowing of grass, ecologically adapted species. Tipchak and Volynets are promising forage grasses. Under old-growth grass mixtures older than 7-8 years of life, ammonium nitrate is recommended to be applied at a rate of 30 kg / ha a.v. in the late autumn period, providing a stable yield and an effective increase in the yield of dry matter of the feed, on average, 0.45 t / ha for at least ten years of use.
