At the organization of selection and breeding work the importance of carrying out an assessment of productive qualities and evidence-based fixing of parental couples increases in horse breeding. The object of researches was the livestock factory of mares of the Russian trotter breed in JSC “Horse Breeding Farm "Omsk"”. We studied productive and reproductive qualities of mares depending on genotype. As a result of conducted researches it was revealed that the most numerous were Scot-land and Volomite‟s lines, 43.5 and 49.3 % of all mares livestock respectively fall to their share. On the group of mares of the line Volomite average playfulness was 2.13.6 seconds which was 0.5 se-conds quicker than representatives of Scotland's lines. On indicators of energetic qualities mares of Trawley family were the best, the difference in their advantage made from 0.008 to 0.08 seconds com- pared with the families of Athletics and Levada re-spectively. The cool structure of livestock of the Russian trotter breed of horses testifies to great opportunities for its further improvement at the ex-pense of correct organization of selection, cultiva-tion of young growth, individual selection of paren-tal couples. Mares of all lines on values of meas-urements conceded to requirements of the stand-ard of breed caused by the influence of heredity manufacturing stallions of American Standard breed, which for several decades were used as producers. Accurate expressed regularity of chang-es of reproductive qualities of factory mares in the section of linear accessory of their fathers was not found. Thus, for increasing of indicators of repro-duction it is necessary to provide rational use of mares and manufacturing stallions with introduction of progressive technologies of reproduction, timely medical examination and improvement of breeding structure, regular monitoring of reproductive quali-ties when ensuring full feeding.
