The project "New Silk way": the infrastructural - logistical aspect and further development

The subject of research is the economic belt project of the «New Silk Road», proposed by the Chinese government. The author of the study assesses the prospects of this project in the context of acceleration of the globalization processes. The revival of the historic «route» for the development of economic relations on the Eurasian continent, as highlighted in the article, is one of the key priorities of foreign policy and foreign economic strategy of the People's Republic of China at the present moment. Special attention is paid to the logistical aspect of the economic belt and the possible barriers to its successful construction.
