The project of Syzran boundary: prehistory, creation and destiny

The article is devoted to the history of development of the project of Syzran Boundary. Basing on the recently found sources, the author views the reasons of adopting of the decision about the creation of Boundary in the middle of 1680-ies, the peculiarities of the project and also the complex of the preparatory actions for the mobilization of the working force and the service class people.
