Designing of innovation activities at the sport disciplines department of higher school’s physical education faculty

The social and cultural changes in the Russian society determine the need for innovative changes in the higher education system. The main areas of innovative activities of the Sports Disciplines Department, Physical Education Faculty, should implement learner-oriented approach to the design of the modern sports and physical education, which involves the development and testing of new sports and physical education technologies, creation of conceptions, programs and models of sports educational institutions of various kinds, and support of the modernization of students’ physical education.
