Designing a web application to support the process of publication of scientific articles in an electronic journal

The article analyzes popular platforms for creating websites of scientific journals, as well as a number of existing sites in this category. The main features of software solutions, their functionality and features are viewed. The process of interaction between the author and the publisher when submitting a scientific article for peer review process is considered in detail. The main functional and non-functional requirements of the electronic journal website are revealed. A database schema is presented as an integral part of a web application for an electronic journal. The main database tables and their functional purpose are considered.
