Problem. The article examines the problem of the formation and development of the project activity of future teachers as the ability to set and solve problems in the context of the implementation of FSES. The purpose of the study is the theoretical justification and development of a model of project training, focused on the ability of the future teacher to set and solve problems of professional activity. Methodology. The article considers the conditions necessary for the development of practical thinking of future teachers from the standpoint of the cultural and historical scientific school of L.S. Vygotsky, A.N. Leontiev, P.Ia. Galperin, V.V. Davydov. Besides, it offers a principal scheme of teaching students the methods of setting and solving practical problems of professional activity in the form of project activity. Results. The article presents the model of project training as an organization of students' learning activity for mastering the integrated project activity, which demonstrates the implementation of the main provisions of the Elkonin-Davydov theory of developmental learning. The content of the curriculum reflects the activity structure of the design. The article describes the real practice of the formation of the concepts of project activity for pedagogical majors. It shows how the use of opportunities for project activities can expand the boundaries of the implementation of ideas of developmental education at the higher education level.
