The design model of the small solar sail meteorological spacecraft

This paper is related to a problem of a solar sail usage as a final control element of a small meteorological spacecraft. The design model of the small frame-type solar sail spacecraft is proposed. The deployer construction is developed and described. The mathematical motion model is formulated with account of taken the light pressure force and the Earth upper atmosphere. The minimum geocentric orbit altitude and the potential functional characteristics of the optical system are calculated. The strength prediction and buckling analysis for the most strained members such as solar sail and deployer beam are realized.
