Project management in administration of university library

In article the authors consider the role of modern university library in the provision of students» and postgraduate students, educational and scientific activity. They prove the need in the modernization of the library of the pedagogical university taking into account the changes in the external information environment and the primary paradigm of the higher education in the Russian Federation., and also the shift to the Federal State Educational Standard of higher vocational education of the 3-rd generation. The shift to project management is offered as a way of modernization. The authors present their own experience of the work over the project “The Centre of the self-study of students” as an example of the application of the project management in the library of the pedagogical university
