Modernization projects of salt production on Seregovskoe deposit (Komi Republic) and work of Seregovskiy salt plant in 1960th years

On the base of National Archive of Komi Republic data the activity of government bodies of Komi Republic in 1960th years dealing with the project of creation of great rock-chemical enterprise for complex processing of raw of Seregovskoe salt deposit and some other outcrops is analyzed. It was decided to enlarge greatly the salt mining (up to 300 thousand tons per year) and due to it treatment to produce the vast number of chemical compositions for the plants of titanium, aluminum and cellulosepaper branches of industry. As a result, a new industrial center would be created on the south of Komi Republic, which, in its turn, would allow to start the development of new enterprises of bauxite and titanium ore treatment. The concentration of efforts on this project did not give possibility for realization of less scale plan of enlarging of capacity of Seregovskiy salt plant up to 40 thousand tons per year. At that time the working Seregovskiy plant had the serious problems: it was in emergency state and produced 3.7 thousand tons of salt in a year.
