The paper studies the sacred and profane space of the Tungus people (the Evens and Evenks) based on an integrated approach to coverage of the geocultural peripheral ethnic territorial groups of Tungus. The research analyzes the traditional and modern ritual practices, symbolic means of communication as the spiritual component of culture using the methods of interpretative anthropology. This approach gives the opportunity to consider the development processes and the modern interpretation of images and symbols in the geocultural space of the North in terms of various aspects of intercultural communication. The methodological and theoretical basis of the study is described. On the basis of the ethnographic, field and archival materials, the geocultural space of the Northern Tungus (the Evens and Evenks) is regarded as a focus of performance and reproduction of various models of cultures.
