This article describes the causes and effects of professional deskilling of children''s music school teachers. Some groups of features typical for this process are described. The authors emphasize the importance of continuing professional self-development of children''s music school teachers, improvement of communicative skills, and ability to resolve conflicts, for prevention of the professional deskilling. As the most important psychological causes of the teachers’ professional deskilling the authors mention the stress leading to the emotional burnout and monotony, insufficient equipment of music and art schools, lack of qualitative musical instruments and modern digital equipment required for interactive education, and financial insecurity of the teachers.
