The article deals with an original research technique "Vocational self-conception of the manager's personality". It also reviews a classical and applied definitions of the self-conception, considering the applied definition as a vocational self-conception of the manager's personality. It is emphasized that the vocational self-conception is associated with professionally relevant qualities of the manager. The author supposes that external factors, specifically social and occupational environment have a major impact on the manager's professional self-conception formation.
