Professor N. E. Kushev as a country doctor, a scientist, a teacher and a public figure (to the 160-th anniversary)

The article presents biographical information about Professor N. E. Kushev. It describes his scientific and practical contribution to the development of native medicine at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries including the organization of malaria control, training of scientific and pedagogical staff at the medical faculty of the Saratov University and public activities.
