Prevention of extremism among young people in Krasnodar territory: an information and educational model

The article deals with the problems of preventing extremism among young people in Krasnodar Territory. It is noted that in addition to the legal regulation of prevention of extremist manifestations among young people, information and educational activities are extremely important. This trend is becoming particularly relevant due to the contradictory political, economic and cultural situation in the country. It is emphasized that currently in Krasnodar Territory there is no program for prevention of extremism among young people in educational environment that meets modern realities and is in demand, although it is the main element in information and educational work. The authors propose a corresponding unified model. Its content covers a set of general measures, including the implementation of educational programs, legal propaganda and agitation to form an understanding of the essence of extremism, its critical perception and ethnic, social, political, religious tolerance, as well as special measures that generate a willingness among adolescents and young people to counteract extremist manifestations. The content of this model in relation to an educational institution should be carried out taking into account the specifics of students' and teaching staff and the level of the educational institution, etc.
