Prevention of metabolic postabortion syndrome

On the ground of the total questionnaire survey of the abortion clinic patients a psychosocial portrait of women who had the deliberate termination of pregnancy performed during the first 12 weeks was built. In the article the motives for abortion were subdivided into medical, social and psychological, with social reasons predominating. The influence of social environment on the decision to have abortion is studied; the women’s family-planning awareness is taken into account. Ways of lowering the number of abortion in Samara region are introduced.
