The risk of local purulent inflammatory complications after spinal surgery remains in the condition of any hospital, where such operations are carried out. Today spinal surgery technique of high level is developed, a significant number of structures for performing spinal operations are created by leading manufacturers. However, the incidence of surgical site inter-vention infection doesn’t have a steady tendency to decrease. Therefore, prediction and pre-vention of such kind complications are relevant to medical science and practice. In recent years, it has firmly established in everyday life the system of mathematical modeling of occur- rences and outcomes of various diseases. The relevance of developing such systems for predic-tion and prevention of local purulent inflammatory complications in the postoperative period is significant for spinal surgery. Today presented review of literature allows us to orientate in the state of this issue.
