Drought resistance of 5 varieties of bread wheat plants cultivated in Bashkiriya was investigated. We planned to determine the connection of ABA content with drought resistance of bread wheat plants and estimated possibility of assay procedure simplification. We postulated that we need knowledge of ABA level in case of selection under drought conditions. The methylated secondary ester extract only can be used for ABA determination.
