Spinal cord and spinal cord injury in the structure of general injuries ranges from 0.7 to 6-8%; patients with spinal cord injury represent the most severe contingent of rehabilitation institutions. From 57 to 100% of patients become disabled. Gross functional disorders, complications of spinal injury (uroinfection, bedsores, contractures, vegetative dysreflexia, pelvic disorders), psychological maladaptation significantly disrupt the quality of life of patients. When evaluating the effectiveness of treatment, the results of surgical treatment or individual consequences and complications of trauma (motor disorders, bedsores, etc.) are studied. There is practically no comprehensive reliable assessment of the results of treatment of patients with spinal cord injury, due to the lack of criteria for the effectiveness of restorative treatment.
