The article discusses approaches to forecasting the development of tourism enterprises in modern conditions. It is established that the problem of the summary characteristics of the activities of tourist enterprises is associated with their diversity, specificity and diversity. At the same time, the reform processes are reflected by the structural changes taking place in the tourism sector. These processes are considered with the help of indicators of institutional transformations, entrepreneurship development, distribution of tourist enterprises, including small ones by forms of ownership, types of activities and organizational and legal forms of management. It is proved that in market conditions information, primarily statistical, becomes a necessary condition and factor of production and management if it meets certain requirements: comprehensiveness, periodicity, timeliness, availability, probability, reliability, quality. It is determined that the justification of management decisions requires generalizing and integral methods of evaluating tourist enterprises. It was found out that meeting the needs for tourist services affects the standard of living of the population and the economy of the country. Therefore, the ranking of countries by standard of living should be carried out using the human development index, the calculation of which practically does not take into account the importance of the sphere of tourist services. It is established that in order to form a developed system of tourist enterprises, a set of measures with the necessary economic, organizational and personnel support is needed.
