Forecasting the impact mass media on the distribution of the internal tourist flow in the Russian Federation

The article examines the peculiarities of the development of domestic tourism in the current situation and analyzes the factors influencing the preferences of tourists. The influence of the mass media on the choice of travel destinations by tourists within the country are investigated. The constructed model of the dependence of the number of trips to the regions of Russia on several factors was tested on up-to-date data and received statistical confirmation. For the analysis, data on the number of trips of Russians from 2022 to 2024 to the regions of Russia were used. The conclusion is made about the influence of mass media reports on the formation of tourist preferences and the distribution of tourist flows. In order to disperse the tourist flow and reduce the overload of mass destinations, it is possible for the state to interact with the media and manage information flows.
