Hardware-software complex for distance electronic phonocardiography

This article contains an overview of the development of a complex for providing heart work diagnostics by auscultating acoustic tones and noises. This diagnostic method is used for fast and qualitative assessment of the state of the heart muscle. Method’s high popularity is due to simplicity of instrumental arsenal and non-invasive approach. This paper’s goal is the development of electronic auscultation method using information technology. The basis of the hardware-software complex is the module of data collection and user software, providing digital signal processing. Collected data accumulation and doctor’s access to it are implemented using Web technologies. The proposed solution is suitable for independent obtaining phonocardiograms and conducting remote diagnostics of patients’ condition. The developed complex has been tested during the study of cardiac performance via phonocardiography on a group of patients of different ages.
