Original technology of sequential processing of satellite data presented with picture patterns of chlorophyll distribution in the surface layer in the global ocean and sea surface temperature is considered in the article. This technology has been developed at Institute of biophysics, SB RAS. Analysis of challenges for thematic processing software developing is discussed. A brief description of preliminary stage is given. SeaWiFS, MODIS and NOAA picture images were used as input data.
