Software Forensic Equipment as the Basis for Modern Methods to Investigate Cybercrime

The article provides a comprehensive overview of the software forensic equipment available to date that provide the most effective collection, recording, seizure and examination of digital evidence. It was concluded that in the context of the society digitalisation, the software in question acquires strategic importance in the fight against crimes in the cyber realm, providing in an automated form, in addition to fixing, verification of digital data, verification of their authenticity and safety, recovery of deleted and encrypted data, issuance of forecasts and recommendations for investigation, as well as convenience and efficiency of processing large amounts of data through the use of machine learning technologies, authorisation of text, graphic and biometric data. It is shown that only software forensic equipment will be able to provide an effective response to attacks controlled by artificial intelligence in the future, which underlines the urgency of their consideration at present.
