The article deals with the conception of educational progressive philosophy of history by J.-A. Condorcet expounded in his work ‘Sketch for a Historical Picture of the Progress of the Human Mind’. The French thinker considers the world history as a linear and continual progress, which applies not to individual humans, but their community. J.-A. Condorcet believed that the human mind as a superior human ability is the main fundament and mover of the historical progress.
