A progressive U.S. agenda in international relations

This article discusses one of the factors of "soft power" in US foreign policy under Democratic presidents. This trend is due to the leftward shift of the Democratic Party and its reliance on a progressive electorate that supports the promotion of sexual, religious, and national minorities in all areas of US policy. And the most progressive element is the promotion of the idea of protecting the LGBT community in the context of the struggle for human rights around the world.
