Courbet's “ The origin of the world”: current interpretation of the masterpiece

The article considers some interpretations of the picture from the perspective of the postmodernism philosophy. The author deals with history of femininity interpretations by philosophers, culture experts and art historians of the 20 th and 21 st centuries.
