For intermediate determinant of buckwheat varieties with restricted growth in the environmental testing of the Orel region in 2003-2006, optimal terms of sowing c 12 on may 19, both early and late periods led to loss of crop seeds. Under optimal terms of sowing the seed yield of buckwheat varieties Dikul amounted to 1.88 and 1.96 t/ha, Demeter and 1.89 2.15 t/ha and Nine 2.08 and 2.35 t/ha In the formation of the yield increase in varieties of Demeter and Nine compared with standard grade Dikul amounted to 7.3 and 13.6% respectively. If any deviation from the optimal sowing terms of the reduction of yields was in varieties Dikul 12.6-20.2%, Demeter 11.1 25.0% and 9 13.0-32.0%.
