Production growth and achievements of the industrial enterprises of Kuban region during the second five-year plan

The article deals with the historical pattern of the industrial development of Kuban districts during the second five-year plan, the renovation of the current industrial facilities and the introduction of the new ones. The author analyzes the meaning of the shock work and Stakhanovism as the prominent factors of the regional industrial dynamics to achieve the Soviet modernist breakthrough. The paper reveals the aspects of the production process at the light and heavy industry enterprises, their specific features and formation in the agrarian region. The research substantiates the role of plants and factories in Kuban region that process the agricultural products and belong to fuel and construction industries. The article shows their challenges and achievements when the issues of the administrative and territorial structure of Krasnodar Territory were solved taking into account social, economic and political environment, social paradigm and production tasks in the period under review.
