Production of peat fertilizers for development agriculture in the context of geopolitical constraints

The article is devoted to the analysis of the role of peat fertilizer production for the development of agriculture in the context of the geopolitical situation and the challenges facing the state economy. The article analyzes the areas of peat fertilizer production using the example of a sample of companies, including those operating in the Tver region, where the Seliger group of companies is actively engaged in peat extraction and processing using the latest technologies. The paper discusses the composition and physics-chemical characteristics of peat, as well as its effect on the growth of various crops, including vegetables, grains and fruits. The importance of a balanced approach to the use of peat fertilizers is emphasized, as well as the need to develop sustainable and environmentally friendly technologies in the field of their processing and use. Peat fertilizers obtained from peat play a key role in improving soil structure and in providing plants with essential nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. They contribute to better root development, improve plant resistance to diseases and stress, and increase the total yield.
