The manifestation of collage thinking in the fine arts: from the modernism to the postmodernism

Sociocultural sources and the role of collage thinking in the system of the fine arts and art culture of the developed countries of the XX century are studied in the present research. On the example of modernist and post-modernist art evolution of manifestations of collage thinking is analyzed. Collage principles in the plane of a picture and objective art are considered.
