The article is devoted to the prosecutor's supervision in places of execution of punishment in the form of imprisonment. Special attention is paid to the problem of protecting the rights of prisoners through prosecutorial supervision. The subject and limits of this type of prosecutor's supervision are considered, its specifics and problematic points are highlighted
