Industrial policy in the review of author’s approaches: regional aspect of industrial development

The article analyzes the approaches of a number of authors of various scientific schools regarding systemic measures and resources in the projection of reindustrialization of the industrial potential of the region as an integral element of competitive manifestations of enterprises and territories in the general context of implemented industrial policy measures. Semantic variations of the definition of «industrial policy» in the considered perspective of the specifics of «new industrialization» are given. It is stated that there is a need for systematic actions to update the technological segment of industrial potential as an integral part of the implementation of priority directions of the new regional industrialization, contributing to structural transformations, the development of high-tech production and the growth of the level of public welfare. In this regard, it is noted that the industrial potential and the social environment of the territory are interdependent, equally directed to the formation of prerequisites for the evolution of the industrial segment of the national economy and the environment of economic, social, cultural well-being and a favorable living environment.
