Бесплатный доступ

The article considers the role of industrial enterprises in innovative development of the region. Innovative development of the regions is understood as a balanced combination of initiatives coming from the federal authorities, initiatives coming from the heads of production structures who are interested in the introduction of innovations and from outside investors, taking into account the regional specifics and limitations inherent in specific territory. The categories of “smart specialization of the region” and “spatial (innovation) strategy” are considered, among others. As one of the ways of innovative development of the industry of the region is a competency-based approach, which focuses not on the enterprise as such, but on a set of its competencies. Thus, clustering comes from taking into account potential, priority and suitable competencies for the region. This approach is recommended to be implemented in stages, with the participation of representatives of authorities, investors, educational and research institutions and heads of enterprises and business associations.
