The article deals with the forms of emotions expression in the early history of the USSR. The peculiar position of the working class was the reason of creation of a specific social community, in which proletarians were able to express their feelings relatively freely. It was particularly noticeable in provinces. The paper describes in detail various features of the emotional refuge in the Soviet industries in the southern region of Russia. The author discusses changes in the attitude of the authorities to the expression of workers' emotions from tolerance to rejection. It is concluded that the role of emotional refuge in the Soviet industry during the first decades of Soviet power were changing, but keeping the basic features.
