The results of experiments on the study of the germination of seeds of tree species under conditions approximating to real ones (with changes in humidity and temperature, using water-retaining substances in the substrate) are presented. The characteristic of the moisture capacity of substrates is given on the basis of the experiments carried out under aerobic and anaerobic conditions.
