Integration of tourist macro-territories: the path of development in the face of new challenges

The article considers the possibilities of integrating the territories of the tourist regions of the Russian Federation under the conditions of sanctions pressure and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on the example of the southern tourist destination. The research suggests a new spatial form of such integration - an enlarged tourist destination, which assumes stable interaction of subjects to obtain the most desired results in the field of tourism through the joint use of tourist opportunities of each participating region. In the article are identified the main mechanisms of interaction between regions within the framework of a single tourist destination, also are presented its structure and the composition of stakeholders.
