In this article the analysis of soil contamination with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) in Serpukhov city region based on 20 years of supervision is presented. It was estimated that areas of soils with lowest contamination levels were expanded. There were still revealed extremely high concentrations of PCB in soils located in the territories of former industrial areas. The dependence of pollutant distribution on relief characteristics was analyzed. The gradient of PCB concentration in the longitudinal geomorphologic profile was calculated. It was shown that this value is dependent on the slope angle and is not dependent on contamination level and length of a profile.
