Spatial aspects of formation and development of innovative systems

The article analyzes some spatial features of the organization of the Russian economy and its impact on the processes of formation and development of the national innovative system and regional innovative subsystems. On the basis of systematic innovation the need in innovative systemformation has been identified within the economic system of the state. The essence of economic space is determined, the specificity of the economic space of the Russian Federation is considered. The drawbacks of the current model of spatial development of the national economy are revealed, the measures for implementation a new regional policy are presented, they are aimed at overcoming spatial differentiation between the subjects of the Federation. The complexity and limitations of the transition to innovative type of economic development are analyzed, they are conditioned by the spatial features in the arrangement of the Russian economy. The necessity of implementing the multi-level spatial innovative policy is grounded.
