Space of spiritual and moral education in the Russian Federation

In the article the standard and declarative documents regulating space of spiritual and moral education are analyzed. The levels of the initial, main and secondary general education are considered in the article. The authors compare the contents of such disciplines as «Basics of religious cultures and secular ethics», «Basics of spiritual and moral culture of the peoples of Russia» and the disciplines of the course «Social sciences» and «Russia in the world». The main objectives of implementation of the contents of this disciplines is tolerant education, knowledge of cultural traditions of the peoples, living in Russia, formation of ideas of secular ethics. Thus, spiritual and moral development of the Russia’s citizens is one of priority problems of the modern education system.
